I don't know if this was intended as a maindish, side dish or what it is intended for. I use it cut up for garnishes, cubed and placed in plates of soup with a quarter of an egg in each.
Dissolve 2 beef bouillon cubes in 1 quart of milk and mix with 4 eggs. season with salt and pepper and pour into a greased pie dish. Stand this in a basin of water [Bain-marie] and cook in a warm oven for 20-30 minutes until the pudding has set. You can also flavour this with cheese, chives or parsley.
