Havremel Brod-(oatmeal Bread)

Recipe Introduction
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.Makes 2 loaves
List of Ingredients
2 Pkg granular yeast
1/2 C warm water
1 tsp sugar
2 C boiling water
1 C rolled oats
1/3 C butter
1/2 C molasses
1/3 C brown sugar
1 T salt
2 eggs, beaten
5 1/2 -6 C flour
Recipe
Add yeast to 1/2 C water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Pour the boiling water over the oatmeal, butter, molasses, brown sugar and salt.
When lukewarm, add eggs and about 2 cups flour, and beat well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Place in a greased bowl, grease top of dough, cover tightly and place in fridge for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. Turn out on well floured board and knead. Shape into 2 loaves. Place in greased pans and let rise 2 hours. Bake 40-50 minutes.
Var; Rug brod. Use 4 cups of white flour and 2 cups of rye flour instead of all white flour.And add 1 cup raisins if desired, Or 2 tsp caraway seed. (Rug Brod med Karve).
