- 4 pounds lutefisk
- 3 quarts water
- 3 T salt
- allspice
- 4 T butter
- salt and pepper
- 2 C rich milk.
Instructions
- Cur the fish in serving pieces and tie in a cheese-cloth. Bring water to a boil. Add salt and lower the fish into the water and cook about 10 minutes, keeping water at a simmer.
- Remove to a serving platter. Sprinkle with allspice and serve with a white sauce made with the butter, flour,salt, pepper and rich milk.
