Potetgnochts-(potato dumplings)

2 pounds potatoes
2 egg yolks
2 whole eggs
1 T butter
2 T flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Recipe
Peel, cook and mash potatoes. Cool. Add rest of ingredients, mix well and form into a stiff dough.
Make dumpling the size of an egg and drop into boiling water. Simmer gently about 1/2 an hour, then carefully remove from kettle. Put into buttered baking pan and sprinkle with grated cheese. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over. Brown in moderate oven about 15 minutes.
