Mix a cupful of cooked rice with a cupful of minced cooked meat, ham, chicken or rabbit, pepper, salt and parsley or a little thyme or summer savory. Make a pastry with a half a pound of flour, four ounces of fat and a little cold water to mix. Roll out to a quarter of an inch thick and cut into rounds, the size of a saucer. Place a spoonful of mixture on each round and fold over in half moon shape, wetting the edges and pinching them together with a fork. Bake in a hot oven for twenty minutes.
