Soft roe puddding

Take 3 large, soft herring roes and pass through a sieve. Mix well with a cupful of dry crumbs, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 2 eggs and three quarters of a pint of milk. season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and bake until the pudding is brown and set. [350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.]
