    1 28-oz can pureed tomatoes
    2 T olive oil
    1/2 shallot, minced
    2 T flour
    1/2 C heavy cream
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp fresh basil, shredded
    salt to taste

    Recipe



    Saute shallot in oil, stir in the flour and cook 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients, simmer until hot, Careful not to overheat the cream, and adjust seasonings
