This recipe refers to the small crab around Louisiana.

List of Ingredients
8-12 scalded crabs
1 large onion,chopped
2 T fat
1 pound cut okra
2/3 C tomato paste
1 qt boiling water
salt
pepper
cooked riceRecipe
Clean crabs and break into 1/2 or 1/4s. Fry onion in fat until soft. Add okra and cook until it ceases to rope. Add next 4 ingredients and crab and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally . Serve with rice.
Var; use shrimp instead of crab.
