    List of Ingredients

    2 lb. lamb neck
    1/2 C pearl barley
    Salt to taste
    6 whole peppercorns
    3/4 C each chopped onion, chopped celery, diced turnip, diced carrot
    1 carrot, grated
    1 C cooked peas
    2 tbsp. minced parsley

    Recipe

    Combine lamb, with next 3 ingredients and 2 quarts water in large saucepan. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Cool. Skim. Remove lamb. Trim meat from bones; dice. Return lamb to stew; add next 4 ingredients. Simmer for 1/2 hour or until vegetables are tender. Add remaining ingre­dients just before serving.
