List of Ingredients
5 C dried, small navy beans
2 C dried garbanzo beans
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp coriander seed
1 tsp cardamom seed
1 tsp oregano
2 cloves garlic, pressed
2 tblsp fresh cilantro, minced
1 qt turkey broth
1 lrg onion, chopped
1 3 C chopped chantrell mushrooms
4 C cubed, cooked, turkey
3 anaheim chilies, roasted, seeded and deveined
1 canned chipotle pepper, minced
2 tblsp adobo sauce, from the chipotles
Recipe
Cook garbanzos until about half done. Add navy beans. cook until tender. Remove 1 cup of beans and mash to a paste. Return mashed beans to the pot for a thickener. Crush the cumin, coriander and shelled cardamom in a mortar and pestle and add with the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until heated through.
