    1/2 C sugar
    1/2 C firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/4 C water
    2 tsp light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp salt
    2 small egg whites (1/4 C)
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    whole pecans

    Recipe



    Combine all in the top of a double boiler and mix well. Place over simmering water and immediately beat with a rotary beater, 7-10 minutes, or until mixture holds stiff peaks.
    remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
    Use nuts to decorate top of cake.
