    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.-Prepare 1 crust pastry for an 8 inch pie.

    List of Ingredients




    1/3 C butter
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 C sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/4 C cream

    Recipe



    Prepare 1 crust pastry for an 8 inch pie.
    Cream butter and extract. Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy after each addition.
    Add eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition. Blend in cream.
    Turn into pastry shell.
    Bake at 450 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and bake 40-45 minutes. Serve warm or cool.

    Var; when cream is added, also blend in 1 C chopped pecans and 1 C seedless raisins.
