    Serves 4

    List of Ingredients




    1 C fresh currants, rinsed and drained
    1/4 C water
    1/4 C sugar
    1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 quart ginger ale or sparkling water

    Recipe



    Put currants and water into a saucepan. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.Remove from heat and cool slightly. Force currants through a sieve to remove seeds.
    Blend in sugar and cinnamon. Chill sirup thoroughly.
    To serve, pour equal amounts of the sirup into 4 chilled, tall glasses.Fill with ginger ale and stir.
