    Oregon prune exchange-1979

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound pitted prunes
    1 large onion, chopped
    3/4 C butter
    1/2 T salt
    1 quart diced red apples, with peel
    1 quart dry bread crumbs
    1 3/4 C pineapple juice

    Recipe



    Chop prunes. Cook onion in butter until transparent but not brown. Add salt. Toss prunes, onion and apple with crumbs. Add pineapple juice gradually to moisten. Bake in greased pan at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Serve with chicken, turkey, veal, ham, or pork.
