    Lacking krokaner forms, the forms were sometimes made from 6 inch stove pipes, cut in half lengthwise. The cookies were laid over the pipes and baked, making a curved cookie. (Often called saddles).

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 C butter
    3/4 C butter
    2 flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    3 eggs

    Recipe



    Cream butter and sugar, break eggs into a cup and add enough water to fill cup. Add to creamed mixture. Sift baking powder with 2 cups flour and add. Add more flour if necessary so dough can be rolled out thin. Cut in strips about 1 1/2-2 inches wide and 4 inches long. Bake on Krokaner forms in moderate oven until light brown.
    May be frosted if desired.
