8 T butter, divided
1/2 C sugar, divided
1 C sifted flour, + 2 T
1/3 C blanched almonds, slivered
1 1/2 T cream

Cream 6 tablespoons butter with 1/4 cup sugar, creaming well. Blend in 1 cup flour. Divide into 12 small muffin cups or sandbakel molds. Press into bottom and half way up sides of cups. bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 minutes.
Combine the almonds, with 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 1/2 tablespoons cream and 2 tablespoons flour. Cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Remove from heat.
Divide into partially baked cookie shells. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes until light brown. Cool 3-5 minutes, then carefully remove from pans.
