2 Chayotes, peeled and cubed
6 whole cloves
1/4 C sugar
juice of 1 lemon or limeRecipe
Boil chayotes in water with the cloves, about 20 minutes, or until very tender. Drain and remove cloves. Mash chayotes well, add sugar and juice and serve like apple sauce.
