    Recipe Introduction


    Trim and discard about an inch off the bottom of each broccoli stalk, then peel the broccoli stalks and thinly slice. The stalks are sweet and slightly crunchy, a nice contrast to the florets.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 T olive oil
    • 2 pounds broccoli, florets separated
    • 1 clove garlic,thinly sliced
    • 1 1-inch long knob of fresh ginger, peeled and slivered
    • 1/2 C water
    • 1 T fresh lemon juice
    • Coarse salt and ground pepper


    Instructions


    1. In a large skillet with a lid, heat oil over medium. Add broccoli, garlic and ginger. cook until broccoli is bright green and ginger is fragrant, about 2 minutes
    2. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook until broccoli is crisp tender, 6-8 minutes. Rmove from heat, add lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
