    An average bunch of kale equals 12 ounces. trimmed and torn leaves loosely packed amount to 10-12 cups.

    List of Ingredients




    1 medium onion sliced
    2 T bacon fat
    2 cloves garlic, sliced
    1 bunch kale
    2 slices cooked bacon
    1 hard boiled egg

    Recipe



    Saute onion and garlic in fat, 3 minutes. Steam half the kale until just wilted, then lift with a spatula or large spoon and place rest of kale in steamer pot. Put the steamed kale on top and continue steaming until just tender. Serve on plates with Crumbled bacon and chopped hard boiled egg scattered on top.
