    Miracle Whip Cake Frosting

    This wonderful icing was created for the Miracle Whip Cake Recipe, but it is great also on other types of cakes,etc.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup of granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup or little more of water
    • 6 large marshmallows
    • 2 egg whites
    • 1 teaspoon of Watkins Vanilla


    Instructions


    1. In saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Boil unil it threads or candy thermometer reaches the thread state,remove from heat, then add the 6 marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows dissolve. Set aside.
      In a bowl, beat with electric mixer on high the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually pour syrup/marshmallow mixture over egg whites while beating on low speed. Beat until stiff enough to spread, add the Watkins vanilla and spread on cake. Makes enough frosting to ice a 13x9x2 inch cake
      or a two-layer 8 or 9inch round cake.
