Beer and Brown Sugar Steak Marinade

    Source of Recipe

I adapted from a Sandra Lee recipe and a recipe from allrecipes.com

    Recipe Introduction

I made grilled veggies to go w/this...I used fresh mushrooms, red pepper, sliced vidalia onion, and yellow squash. And I made a marinade of 3 Tbs. olive oil, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar, kosher salt, pepper. Yum!

    List of Ingredients

1 large sirloin steak (or 2 smaller ones or London Broil)
1/2 cup beer (I just use what I have but would be good w/a dark beer)
    1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
    1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning

    Recipe

Use a fork to poke holes all over the surface of the steaks, and place steaks in a large baking dish or ziploc bag.

In a bowl, mix together beer, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and steak seasoning. Reserve about 1/3 cup to baste the steak w/while you grill it.

Pour marinade over steaks, and let sit for atleast 20 minutes but preferably longer.

    Remove steaks from marinade.

Lightly oil the grill grate, if desired. Grill steaks, basting w/reserved marinade, for 5-7 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
