Orange Breakfast Crescents
These are scrumptious! I think I might try it with lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla or lemon extract next time.
List of Ingredients
Rolls:
3 ounces cream cheese -- softened
3 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
Topping:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 teaspoon butter -- melted
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
Recipe
Blend first 4 ingredients.
Separate dough into triangles.
Divide cheese mixture among dough triangles, spread, leaving a 1/4 in. border. Roll each, starting at the long edge.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet, shaping into crescents.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
For topping, combine all ingredients while rolls are baking. Spread over hot crescent rolls and serve immediately.
