Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Introduction
Delicious! These have basically the same flavor as the Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies that I make. Kyle and I made a double batch of these for Thanksgiving 2006. In one batch we added chopped up Hershey bars and in the other batch we added 1/2 semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 mini Rolo baking pieces. We used creamy peanut butter instead of chunky and used a full tsp. vanilla. And we didn't bake them as long as the recipe states. I want to try them w/the chunky peanut butter next time.
FYI if you double the recipe: 1 jar peanut butter=2 cups
List of Ingredients
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate morselsRecipe
1. Stir together first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl, using a wooden spoon. Stir in chocolate morsels.
2. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
3. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes (I baked them 8 or 9 minutes) or until puffed and golden. (Cookies will be soft in the center.) Cool cookies on baking sheet 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack.
Flourless Peanutty-Peanut Butter Cookies: Substitute 1 cup coarsely chopped lightly salted peanuts for milk chocolate morsels. Proceed with recipe as directed.
Yield: Makes 1 1/2 dozen
