List of Ingredients
24 tortillas
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 1/4 c. shortening
Fillings of choice: shredded or ground beef, pork or chicken, cooked; onions, peppers, cheeses, potatoes, mushrooms, etc.
Recipe
For fried quesadillas, fill tortillas with favorite ingredients, fold over and pinch edges to close. Set aside on a damp cloth as they are all filled. Heat oil in deep frying pan and fry quesadillas til golden brown. May be prepared ahead and reheated in oven. Serve with salsa.
Or, at an outdoor party, assemble quesadillas and briefly heat on a grill. Serves 8.
