The "Best" Mac & Cheese
List of Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp butter or marg
- 6 Tbsp flour
- 3 Cups whole milk
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp cayenne or to taste
- 1 Tbsp dry minced onion
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 8 oz elbow mac dry
- 8 oz Velvetta or cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook macaroni acording to package direction to al'dente
DO NOT OVER COOK
- Melt butter in med sauce pan. Add flour and stir well. Continue stirring for 2 minutes
- Slowly add milk. Mixture will thicken. Simmer and stir for 5 min. Add the spices.
- Add cheese and stir til melted
- Combine macaroni with cheese sauce and pour into a sprayed 2 1/2 qt casserole.
- You may put bread crumbs on top if desired or sprinkle with Parm cheese.
- Bake in preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes
- If you are adding ham or vegetables, stir into cheese sauce before combining with macaroni.

This is very cheesy and moist!
