    Apricot Sour Cream Pastries

    These are GREAT!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Cup Butter
    • 2 Cups Flour
    • 1 egg yolk (beaten)
    • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
    • 1 small jar apricot preserves
    • 1/2 Cup finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)


    Instructions


    1. Cut butter into flour til mixture resembles fine crumbs.
    2. Combine egg yolk with sour cream, blend into flour mixture
    3. COVER & CHILL overnight
    4. Divide dough into 4 equal portions, (Keep it chilled until ready to use)
    5. On a lightly floured surface roll each portion into a 10 inch circle.
    6. Spread the preserves on top of each circle and sprinkle the nuts (finely chopped) ontop of the preserves.
    7. With a fluted pastry wheel (or a regular knife will do)cut each circle into 12 wedges (like a pizza)
    8. Beginning at the wide end of each wedge, roll toward the point.
    9. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    10. Bake at 350 about 10 - 15 min until lightly browned
    11. Remove to cooling rack

    I make these EVERY year at Christmas time, they are to die for!
