Hershey's Chewy Brownie Cookies

List of Ingredients



• 2/3 Cup shortening
  
• 1 1/2 Cups packed light brown sugar
  
• 1 Tbsp water
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  
• 2 eggs
  
• 1 1/2 cups flour
  
• 1/3 cup cocoa
  
• 1/2 tsp salt
  
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
  
• 12 oz pkg (2 Cups) semi sweet choc. chips
  






Instructions



1. Preheat oven to 375
   
2. In lg bowl, beat shortening, B. sugar, water and vanilla til well blended
   
3. Add eggs, beat well. Sift together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture just til blended. Stir in Choc. chips.
   
4. Drop by rounded Tbsp 2 inches apart on UNgreased cookie sheet
   
5. Bake 7 - 9 minutes until cookies are set. (cookies will appear soft and moist) DO NOT OVERBAKE.
   
6. Cool 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and place on aluminum foil to cool completely
