Combine the above ingredients. Form into 8 pattys. Coat with crumbs. Refrigerate for 1 - 2 hrs.
Heat oven to 400. Roast a red pepper for 30 min until charred. Wrap in foil and cool. Remove skin and seeds and chop fine. Combine with 1/2 Cup mayo, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp minced garlic and spread on both sides of a fresh roll.
Heat 1/4 inch oil in a skillet. Cook Crab Cakes til golden turning once. approx. 8 minutes
Place crab cakes on the prepared rolls and top with lettuce, tomatoe and red onion if desired.
