Swedish Meatballs
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion
- 6 slices day old bread cut into cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- ****FOR THE GRAVY***
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 Cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp gravy master
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 cups water
- 8 oz sour cream
Instructions
- Mix together the meatball ingredients. Shape into balls
- Fry the meatballs in 2 tbsp oil & 2 Tbsp butter.
- Remove meatballs
- Add the 1/4 cup flour to the drippings.
- Gradually stir in the 2 Cups of milk
- Mix together the salt, gravy master, nutmeg, ginger and water. Stir into the milk mixture.
- LAST-- Stir in the sour cream til blended.
(DO NOT BOIL) Put the meatballs back into the gravy.
