Swedish Meatballs II
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs (unseasoned)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion chopped fine
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 Tbsp flour
- 3/4 Cups Water
- 1 Cup 1/2 & 1/2
- 1 Tbsp beef boullion granuals
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix beef, pork, bread crumbs milk egg, onion, 1 1/2 tsp salt, nutmeg and pepper.
- Shape into meatballs and cook til light brown in a 350 oven (about 1/2 hr)
- Remove from oven and keep them warm.
- In a saucepan, put 1/4 cup of the juices from the meatballs. Stir in the flour and cook til smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the water, 1/2 & 1/2, beef boullion and 1/2 tsp salt. Return to stove and cook til boiling stirring constantly til thickened.
Final Comments
Serve over egg noodles.
