    Clam Chowder

    This is a very easy chowder to make. It is made with canned clams. But, It tastes GREAT!! Even my kids like it.
    This is one of the 1st recipes I made from my MOM!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb bacon
    • 1 lg onion (chopped)
    • 1 tsp thyme
    • 2 qts water
    • 1 lg can crushed tomatoes
    • 4 stalks celery (chopped)
    • 1 lb carrotts (chopped)
    • 6 large potatoes (peeled and cubed)
    • 5 ckn boullion cubes


    Instructions


    1. cut bacon into cubes and brown in a large pot. Add onion and cook til onion is tender. Stir in thyme. Add water, tomatoes, celery. carrotts and ckn cubes.
    2. Boil for 1/2 hr.
    3. Add potatoes and add more water about 4 cups.
    4. Cook for 20 - 30 min til potatoes are done.
    5. Add 2 cans chopped clams with liquid.
    6. Cook for 10 minutes longer. Add salt and pepper if desired.
