    SALSA: Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

    List of Ingredients

    CHIPS
    2 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
    3 tablespoons melted butter, or margarine
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 tablespoons sugar

    SALSA
    1 apple (crisp apple unpeeled, cored and finely diced
    1 naval orange, peeled, seeded and finely diced
    1 slice pineapple, finely diced
    1 small handful strawberries, finely diced
    1 lime, juiced
    1 tablespoon honey
    1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, minced
    1/2 jalapeno, finely diced, optional

    Recipe

    CHIPS: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stack tortillas, and cut into 8 sections with a pizza cutter or large knife. Brush tortilla sections with butter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

    Sprinkle tortillas evenly with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 8 minutes, or until tortillas begin to crisp.

    SALSA: In a bowl, combine apple, orange, pineapple, strawberries, lime juice, honey, mint and jalapeno.

    Serve dip with cinnamon tortilla chips. Makes 8 servings


    Per serving: calories, 127; fats, 6 grams (39 percent of calories); cholesterol, 12 milligrams; carbohydrate, 19 grams; fiber, 2 grams; protein, 1 gram; sodium, 105 milligrams.
