    Hawaiian Beef Stir-Fry

    Recipe Introduction

    Serve this with sticky rice and Oriental green beans for a complete meal.

    List of Ingredients

    8 ounces crushed pineapple in light syrup, undrained
    2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
    12 ounces lemon-lime soda, 7-up, sprite or ginger ale
    3/4 cup soy sauce, low sodium
    2 pounds round steak (2 to 3 lbs) semi-frozen and cut into strips
    garlic powder, or 2-4 cloves minced garlic
    pepper, to taste

    Recipe

    Mix all ingredients in a nonmetal bowl. Give a sprinkling of garlic powder on top before covering with plastic wrap. Marinate for 3 to 7 hours (overnight is okay too). When ready to fry, take meat out with slotted spoon and stir-fry, a little at a time in a hot wok or large skillet with a little oil. Serve over rice.


    NOTE:

    Remember to save 2 good size pieces of fat to fry your meat in or use peanut oil.
