COFFEECAKE: Chocolate Chip Coffeecake

BATTER/CAKE
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter softened
1 c sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
Chocolate Chip Topping
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans, or any other nut
1 cup semisweet chocolate chipsRecipe
BATTER: Beat sugar and butter in bowl until smooth, scraping sides occasionally. Add sour cream and eggs. Beat until blended. Beat in baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Add flour gradually, beating constantly until blended.
TOPPING: Combine brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and mix well. Stir in nuts and chips.
Place 1/3 of the Chocolate Chip Topping in a butter & floured 9" bundt pan. Layer batter and remaining topping 1/2 at a time in the prepared pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes or until coffee cake tests done. Serves 12
