Recipe Introduction

These are nice and easy and quick to make if an unexpected friend knocks on the front door.

List of Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine
4 1 ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
1 cup plain or all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans


Recipe

Preheat the oven to 350°. Melt butter or margarine and chocolate together in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, nuts, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Add eggs. Beat thoroughly. Spread in a greased tin 13x9x2". Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Let cool. Dust with confectioners sugar before cutting into squares to serve.
