    POUND CAKE: Cream Cheese Pound Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups butter (no substitutes), softened
    1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
    2 1/3 cups sugar
    6 eggs
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Recipe

    In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and cream cheese. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour; beating just until blended. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured 10-in tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Cool Completely. Serves 12
