    Eggnog Truffles

    List of Ingredients

    CHOCOLATE CUPS
    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    1 tbsp Crisco butter flavor

    TRUFFLES
    2 cups milk chocolate chips
    2 tbsp butter
    1/2 cup commercial eggnog

    Recipe

    CHOCOLATE CUPS: Melt chips with Crisco in a heavy, small pan over very low heat, stirring constantly OR use a double boiler. Evenly spoon 1/2 TBSP of chocolate mixture into 36 small foil candy cups. With the back of a spoon bring some chocolate up the side of each cup. Refrigerate until firm.

    TRUFFLES: Melt chips with butter & eggnog in heavy, medium pan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Pour into a pie plate. Refrigerate mixture until it is thick, but still soft (2 hours). Spoon truffle mixture into pastry bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe mixture into chocolate cups (or use a Ziploc baggies) Truffles can be refrigerated 2-3 days or frozen several weeks. Makes about 36 truffles.
