    CHINESE BEEF AND PEA PODS

    This has a wonderful flavor and the beef is wonderfully tender! Try it - you won't be sorry.

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/3 lb. flank steak
    10 oz can of beef consomme
    1/4 cup low salt soy sauce
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1 bunch of green onions sliced thin
    2 Tbls cornstarch
    2 Tbls cold water
    1-7oz (2 cups) pkg frozen pea pods partially thawed (I use frozen sweet snap peas)

    Recipe



    Slice steak into thin slices diagonally. Combine in pot with consomme, soy, ginger and onions. Cover and cook low 5-7 hours. Near serving time turn control to high and add cornstarch dissolved in cold water. Cook 10-15 minutes until thickened. Drop peas in for the last 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
