5 cups milk
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Recipe
Combine 2 cups milk with cornmeal, sugar, molasses, butter, salt & pumpkin pie spice in a large, heavy saucepan. Heat slowly until bubbling, then simmer, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until creamy-thick. Pour into the slow cooker; stir in remaining milk; cover cooker. Cook on LOW for 10 hours, or on HIGH for 5 hours. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if you desired. Serves 6.
