Crockpot Stuffed Peppers

List of Ingredients
PEPPERS
6 medium green bell peppers
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef, uncooked
1 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup onions, diced
5 slices bacon, uncooked and chopped
1 teaspoon Morton's® salt substitute, or to taste
garlic powder, to taste
black pepper, to taste
SAUCE
2 cans reduced-fat condensed tomato soup (low sodium)
2 cans water
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon thyme
Morton's® salt substitute, or to taste
black pepper, to taste

PEPPERS: Combine above ingredients (except peppers). Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds. Stuff the peppers with the ground beef mixture and top to the pepper tops. Stand them up in the crock pot. (You DO NOT need to COOK the stuffing mixture).
SAUCE: Combine sauce ingredients. Pour over peppers. Cook on LOW 10-12 hours.
TO SERVE: Place about 3/4 cup of the sauce in an individual bowl. (Sauce will be like soup). Place one pepper in the center of sauce and eat with a spoon to get all the juice. Serve with mashed potatoes on the side and some crispy French bread.
