Ham And Scalloped Potatoes

1 tsp cream of tartar
4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
6 slices lean ham slices, cooked
Onions, thinly sliced
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper
2 cups cheddar cheese (or American cheese) grated
2 cans reduced fat cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz) or cream of celery soup

Recipe
Toss sliced potatoes in cream of tartar and 2 cups water. Drain. Put half of ham, potatoes and onions in crockpot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then grated cheese. Repeat with remaining half. Spoon undiluted soup over top. Sprinkle with paprika, cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours. (or HIGH for 4 hours).
