Stuffing/Dressing: Nutty Bread Dressing

4 cups soft bread crumbs
1 cup crackers, crushed
1 cup mixed nuts, dry-roasted (pecans, walnuts, filberts, macadamia, chestnuts - toasted)
1 cup onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
2/3 cup vegetable broth, or chicken broth
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon sage
Fresh parsley, chopped or snipped
Recipe
Spray inside of a 3 1/2 quart crockpot with some PAM or grease with butter. Mix bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, nuts, onion and celery in crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients except parsley in a bowl. Pour over all in crockpot. Toss to coat ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours or until stuffing is slightly puffed and brown around the edges. Sprinkle with parsley. Recipe may be doubled. Serves 6-8
