THANKSGIVING: Cranberry Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp orange juice
1 egg
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups cranberries, coarsely chopped (1 whole bag)
1 cup walnuts, chopped or pecans
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream butter and sugars. Beat in milk, orange juice, and egg. Mix dry ingredients and combine with butter mixture. Stir in nuts and berries. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Roxanne's Notes:
I love anything with cranberries in it and these cookies are one of my favorite. They are great for two reasons - they stay nice and moist, and they are not too sweet. I tend to freeze a lot of cranberries during the cranberry season so we can enjoy these year-round.
