    2 packages dry yeast
    1/2 cup lukewarm water
    1/3 cup butter
    Sugar
    2 tsp salt
    2/3-cup scalded milk
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 to 5 cups sifted all-purpose flour
    1 cup chopped nuts
    2 tbsp cinnamon

    Recipe



    Soften yeast in water. Combine butter, sugar, salt and milk in mixing bowl; stir to melt butter. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in eggs and yeast; add flour gradually to form stiff dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth, about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl; cover. Let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Divide dough in half; roll out 1 part to 15 x 10-inch rectangle. Brush with butter. Combine nuts, 1 cup sugar and cinnamon for filling. Sprinkle half the filling over rectangle; roll as for jelly roll, starting with long side. Place on greased baking sheet. Fold half the roll on top of other half; seal ends together, starting at folded end. Cut lengthwise down center of roll to within 1 inch of sealed end. Turn cut halves outward, cut-side up, to form a heart. Repeat process for second coffee cake. Cover; let rise till light and doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes. Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes.
