Dutch Apple Pie

3 cups apples, sliced
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1 cup light cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
Place the apples in a 9" unbaked pie shell. Mix together the sugar, flour and cinnamon. Combine the egg, cream and vanilla, then add the sugar mixture and mix it well. Pour it over the apples, then sprinkle it with the nuts and dot it with the butter. Bake the pie at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes until the apples are tender. Serves 8 (makes 1 pie)
