    Double Chocolate Snack Cake

    List of Ingredients




    1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup water
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 tsp vinegar
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt with a fork in an ungreased 8-inch square pan (I use a 9-inch cast iron skillet). Mix in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cool and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Yields: 8 servings.
