3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup unsweetened cherry juice
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp grated orange rind
4 cups red tart unsweetened cherries
9 tart shells
Recipe
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and fruit juices. Cook over direct heat for 5 minutes or until thickened and clear. Remove from heat; add butter, orange rind and cherries. Cool. Put into tart shells. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream. Yield: 9 servings.
