    If you're really rushed and haven't the time for whole berry tarts, try this simple version using canned berries and your favorite prepared or homemade pastry.

    List of Ingredients




    2 16 1/2-ounce cans raspberries, blackberries or boysenberries
    4 tablespoons cornstarch
    Optional flavorings*

    6 tartlets - prebaked (bought or homemade)

    Recipe



    Drain berries, reserving syrup. Blend syrup into cornstarch and mix well. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and clear. Remove from heat. Add desired flavoring and gently stir in berries. Pour or ladle warm filling into baked tartlet shells and chill until serving time. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.

    Enough for 6 Sweet Heart tartlets


    Notes: *Optional flavorings (add one of the following): 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg, 1 teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel, 2 tablespoons liqueur, 2 tablespoons lemon juice.
