Gorgonzola and Walnut Spread

4-oz. package crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, divided
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted and divided
8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine one tablespoon each of Gorgonzola cheese and walnuts for topping; set aside. Place remaining Gorgonzola cheese in food processor. Add cream cheese, half-and-half and pepper; process just until blended (I used a hand mixer.). Spoon into a shallow serving plate; stir in remaining walnuts. Sprinkle with reserved cheese mixture. Serve with pita chips or apple slices for dipping.
Makes about 2-1/2 cups.
