Everyone I know was raised on this stuff, whether you liked it or not! The BEST way many folks say is, to make your sandwich and grill in under the broiler Or on top of the stove just like a grilled cheese. It does get alittle messy but well worth it, my friends. Kick it up a bit - spray your bread with butter or olive oil Pam spray before toasting. It was always popular as a appetizer stuffed into celery ribs, cut into 2-3" pieces. No bread carbs that way!
List of Ingredients
1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated-You can use medium cheddar if you like
1- 4 ounce jar diced pimentos, drained well & chopped
1/2-3/4 cup mayonnaise -or to taste
2 or 3 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Black pepper
2 drops lemons juice
Recipe
Mix all together until well blended. Serve with crackers or use as a sandwich filling. I don't know about the 5 weeks but it does keep longer than anything else.
